Cilva obtained her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Penn State, where she was granted the 2020 ASLA Student Honor Award and 2020 College Creative Achievement Award. Cilva continued to pursue a Master of Landscape Architecture and worked for 2 years as Teaching and Researching Assistant at Cornell University in a series of studios, labs, and research projects across Climate-adaptive design, Urban ecology, and Participatory design. Cilva's design focus centers around the development of interdisciplinary solutions that strike a balance between social imperatives and eco/environmental resiliency within complex cultural contexts. Her work spans across continents, having undertaken projects in America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. This international experience has provided her with a deep understanding of diverse landscapes and cultural nuances, enriching her design approach. She is committed to integrating progressive methods in public engagement and cross-disciplinary techniques of ecological recovery. Cilva's ability to think outside the box and embrace innovative solutions makes her a valuable asset in tackling complex design problems.
