My career at Chrysler provided security, but I always wanted more than life could offer working for somebody else. I knew I was willing to work harder than the average J and for a decade I sat on the idea of starting a coffee shop. In 2005 I jumped in with both feet and eight years later I went back to my childhood roots of delivering pizzas and decided I wanted to build a second brand. My franchise started as a tiny beverage shack and developed into an iconic brand selling two of America’s favorite products as a “Dual Brandz under one-roof” concept. I built Coffee Junkiez and Pizza Junkiez from the ground up with no previous entrepreneurial experience. My success led to an integrated ecosystem of small businesses with the intent of serving others through foundational products that all businesses need to operate. I take a hands-on approach to daily operations and continually expand my portfolio through Double J Brandz which includes: Double J Franchising, Scared Rabbit digital marketing services, and Vickers Graphics and Custom Apparel, along with my personal “AF” Apparel line. My latest project, The Julius Filez Podcast, promotes both self-sufficiency and personal accountability with candid conversations and critical questions. The Entrepreneurial Chronicles segment of the show addresses common concerns and invites guests to share their experiences in life and business. After nearly two decades of consistent mistakes, failures, and lessons learned… I have simply been too stubborn to quit and I showcase that in the “Julius Perspective” (Q&JP) segment of the podcast.I have beaten the odds and I love bringing a perspective to the table among the other successful thought leaders of the world. I strive to tell the real story behind small business entrepreneurship through my own personal journey while sharing perspectives, lessons, and insights from fellow Ferocious Buddahz. The goal of my enterprise is to enhance the quality of life for my customers and colleagues. I want to offer the journey and maze of entrepreneurship more transparency, along with providing a little levity which I showcase in the Off The Rails (OTR) segment of the podcast.
