Leveraging the expertise gained from over 17 years of experience ranging from turnaround success to serving as a key contributor in founding an entirely new banking institution, my leadership and strategic planning were instrumental in the launch of this startup community bank. I capitalized on my previous experience within the financial industry and hit the ground running to raise $9.45M in initial capital, at 6-30-15, the bank had climbed to rank in the top 5 for profitability of all banks chartered in 2009. The thrill of overcoming obstacles and proving my banking savvy continuously drove me toward greater goal achievement, and within 7 years I had doubled our workforce and opened a second branch location. Still in profitable operation today, growing this startup from charter application and zero deposits to a flourishing business with over $60M and the second largest share of the market is among my proudest professional achievements, and I am extremely motivated to attain even greater success in my next role.

Shifting from turnaround strategy-based management, I was enthusiastic about this opportunity to make direct contributions to successfully founding this small-market bank. The skills I acquired while managing the high-pressure situations in prior roles provided me with a solid foundation for ensuring seamless business processes while bolstering this business from the ground up. Cultivating relations with key investors and stakeholders, creating a strong marketing campaign, and leading all aspects of strategic planning are only a few of the ways I contributed to the positive outcomes of this growing company. Among my other achievements, I secured $4.3M in capital investments and gained $22M in asset growth.

Continuing on the heels of the advancements I led with Investors National Bank, I eagerly accepted this challenge to lead the major turnaround of this regulatory-constricted establishment. My ability to identify and implement needed improvements using a streamlined approach that spurred team members into action, we generated a 15% net yield on our purchased loan portfolio and obtained regulatory approval for expansion into a new market, by launching an additional branch, all in under 2 years. Expanding products and services our portfolio grew exponentially, and I continuously drove progress not only through new revenue, but through an ever-wider company footprint that ensured stability and forward momentum.

The experience I gained in prior roles spanning Market President, Senior VP, and Chief Lending Officer proved indispensable as I took this next step in my career. Serving as President & CEO, I immediately performed root cause analysis into this underperforming business, pinpointing needed areas of change and formulating major modernization plans. Along with creating an entirely new business roadmap and overhauling financial management processes, cultivating trust and reestablishing industry relations was an integral part of the dramatic success of this turnaround. Within 3 years I had negotiated an $800K investment in facilities and equipment, achieved a rating upgrade by Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and completely revamped business structure to enhance competitiveness and ensure ongoing compliance.

Developed marketing strategy to increase recognition of the bank and raised community profile of the bank. This resulted in doubling of the branches loan portfolio with no corresponding increase in classifications or charge offs. Created branch Advisory Board with community leaders holding quarterly meeting to seek referrals and determine the perception of the bank by outside members of the community. Participated in the banks purchased loan program. Led teams on due diligence reviews of loan packages offered for sale by the FDIC as well as other banks.
