Used supplier relationships and knowledge of commodities markets to determine optimal timing for purchases. Communicated market information and strategy to owner and salesmen. ● In charge of $18MM annual spend of snack food ingredients and packaging at Flagstone Foods. Flagstone Foods is a $700MM consumer packaged goods manufacturer and distributor of private label trail mixes, nuts, and dried fruits. Directed USDA regulated changes to labels and packaging.● Managed inventory and pipeline for over 800 SKUs and expedited as necessary to hit production deadlines. Cut packaging inventory from 59 DIOH to 43 DIOH. Approved new suppliers while reducing the supplier base to optimize best price, service and quality contracts that saved the company over $800K while the company grew at 30% per year. Issued 110+ POs per month.● Worked with sales, procurement team, and R&D to reduce unproductive inventory through MTO production runs.● Managed over $10MM of co-packing to ensure production met quality standards while meeting margin requirements.

Markets traded included wheat (MGEX, KBOT, and CME), corn and soybeans.
