About Doug Cornell

The twenty (20) years of post-college experience has been under the employ of Lexmark International where I added value to the corporation across multiple roles. Five (5) years in Product Engineering enabled me to gain a thorough understanding of the development to manufacturing transition where my involvement helped improve product design. In this role a strong understanding of quality processes and statistical methods were gained, such as 8D and full factorial testing for root cause analysis that drove product and process improvements. Moving into the Manufacturing Engineering Management role for three (3) years enabled me to strengthen my leadership skills and acquire a more in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and tools. These included team management, capital planning, budget management, corrective action development as well as process improvement using techniques such as fishbone diagrams and other Six Sigma tools/methodologies. In this role, I served as the area’s Six Sigma Champion. The latter part of my career transitioned into professional services where I initially worked as a project manager in the Solutions Development and Integration department for three (3) years, managing the development and implementation of Lexmark workflow solutions into customer environments. In that role I was able to refine leadership and project management skills where I also led a team for internal process improvements. My current role as a Client/Customer Operations Manager leverages many acquired skills while building new skills. This role involves ensuring contractual obligations are met in the managed services arena while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Skills developed/refined in this role include reporting, analysis, operational excellence, presentation, and leadership expertise.
