Deer Skull Studios is a small recording operation that has utilized nearly all analog equipment for the last 25 years. The resulting sound is warm and comfortable, like a favorite pair of jeans. We have specialized in assisting composers with finding a complete sonic spectrum for their recording projects, and assist in completing partial song/album ideas.Due to declining availability of suitable recording medium, we are presently undergoing the shift to digital recording. I will attempt to keep the "warm, fuzzy feeling" though!Doug is also available for writing psychologically persuasive speeches and ad copy.

Doug covered guitar duties for "The Accident", a cutting edge punk/pop band, gained west coast credibility with the cult classic "Kill The Bee Gees" and "True Detective". The band is now immortralized in Paul Allen's EMP museum in Seattle. Went on to perform with "Durango 5", "Plan B" and "The Holidays" all Seattle based bands through the 80's and early 90's. Performed soundtrack work for Magic Hour Films, recorded commercial, product line video soundtracks and commercial background music. Performed various studio contributions for other artists. Writing and performing original music since 1978.Presently working on 3 album projects ranging from blues, funk and hard rock. Interested in new ideas combining hard rock and dub step/4 on the floor dance.
