Current line is former designs by Roger L Malinowski (Stoney Creek Designs) of Reading, Pennsylvania, a legend in the narrow gauge model train community.Current priority is learning CAD and updating dwg. files to today's standards and switching materials to best in class. Roger is among a mere handful of kit designers to capture prototype 'reality' in the compressed confines of a scale model and make it work. His kits sell out each year and are regarded as leading examples of the craftsman structure kit genre. This 'business' really is a monetized hobby (or 'not-for-profit' without the noble ends). As such it is a shot at creative freedom, imagination and, just 'playing'... rather than snow-birding, compulsive cross border shopping or perhaps, golf. It is being done for fun hanging with (I cannot say working because it isn't) all manner of characters mostly in the United States and a couple in Canada and the UK.Nice change actually: it follows an 'serious' work-life which included transition consulting and career counselling, real estate sales and advertising agency account management.
