I have worked in electoral politics for the last thirty-two years. A 2007 Washington Post profile compared my campaign style with James Carville, Paul Begala and Lee Atwater. I worked for six years in a Texas congressional district office as a Community Liaison and Campaign Manager.I have managed political campaigns around the county for city council, mayor, state representative, state senate, congress, and governor. I have managed six congressional races including Tim Bishop’s shocking upset of Felix Gucci in New York’s First Congressional District in 2002. From 2007 to 2013, I worked as a media consultant developing message, communication strategies and coordinating media buys for campaigns across the country. I served as State Director for Gen. Wesley Clark’s presidential primary campaign in Virginia and worked as part of the media consulting team on Joe Biden’s presidential primary run in 2008.In 2016 I managed two ballot initiatives in Oklahoma to reform the criminal justice system. Both initiatives passed by 58 and 56 percent, respectively. From 2017 to 2020 I served as the Senior Coordinator of Campaigns and Advocacy for the Alliance for Safety and Justice.
