I was responsible for the tactical day-to-day execution of the production work orders while working with multiple functional organizations to ensure all required manufacturing elements and disciplines are ready and available to begin the manufacturing process. The focus and intent of this position is to enable us to achieve operational execution excellence. Principal Accountabilities (not all inclusive): Execution of the manufacturing work orders, tracking and reporting to ensure compliance to build plan. Provides the shop floor with visual work cell schedules that are linked to the VS Detail Schedules which are driven from the MPS. Supports the distribution and communication of the build plan to the value streams from the Master Production Scheduler Conducts Pre-Ops Readiness Reviews to ensure availability of required Tooling, Materials, Planning, Work Instructions, Programming and Make Items to the shop floor. Identifies & escalates issues that will prevent achievement of Build Plan requirements and initiates appropriate remedial action to correct deficiencies. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Performs ERP and related business system transactions as required to support our Value Stream’s, Supply Chain, Inventory management and business system compliance.. Performs “Hands on” Cycle Counts.
