I spent many years in the world of electronic design and then in senior living providing software and then raising capital for operators. In my position on the Board for the Veteran's Care Centers of Oregon I became aware of how many people need help with PTSD and drug and alcohol addictions which lead to the world of substance abuse treatment. I am currently the CFO for Sobrius (see www.sobrius.health). There are about 25 million people in the US who have drug or alcohol abuse problems and less than 5 million get any help. In my business I see that with Medicaid reimbursement we can serve those who have no money, a real desire to get better and make better than a 25% cash-on-cash return to investors. My role is to drive the business and to introduce investors to good operators in the substance abuse treatment world. This is a great place to do good for society and make solid returns.
