- Direct the design, implementation and support of municipal and wide-area networks, mobile and landline telecommunications, Public Safety radiocommunications, End-User Computing and Information Security systems.- Create innovative solutions by embracing change and generating enthusiasm for improvement.- Collaborate with municipal departments to address Information Security and regulatory compliance requirements, including FIPPA, PHIA, ISO 27000 and Payment Card Industry.- Generate business cases, manage projects, resolve conflicts and maintain highly effective teams.- Manage IT-related customer relations with municipal departments including 311, Police, Parking Authority, and Transit.

- Maintain accountability for the leadership, visioning, strategic planning and direction of the City of Winnipeg’s technology services to address the organization’s application, technology and data management needs.- Lead multiple diverse business units dispersed throughout Winnipeg, providing mission-critical business services including: - Enterprise Information Solutions: business enablement through enterprise-wide application services, directing the City’s GIS, web and data services, open data program, and business process engineering; - Managed Hosting: 7x24 public service and life-safety Infrastructure & Operations management, cloud computing, IT Service Management, and data storage management; - Connectivity: 7x24 public service and life-safety services relating to facilities, end-user computing and network connectivity services, radio and telecommunications, and Information Security; and - Printing, Graphic and Mail Services: consultation, project management and production of all printing and mail services to City departments.- Provide overall leadership and direction for project teams comprised of staff from multiple departments on all aspects of City-wide IT service delivery.- Provide financial leadership and direction to division personnel on all elements required to meet organization-wide IT service delivery objectives, including development of the annual operating and capital budgets.

- Led the division responsible for all client, network, datacentre and retail systems.- Provided leadership in all aspects of design, implementation and support of technical infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows and Unix servers, Exchange, Citrix, Windows XP, VMWare, Nortel telephony and Cisco wireless/VoIP networking equipment.
