Direct the plant’s financial operations and assisted management team in improving plant costs through effective budgeting, strategic planning and analysis. Led and directed the preparation and presentation of annual budgets and quantitative standards. Developed monthly financial Outlooks. Directed the reporting and analysis of the plants financial performance on a monthly basis, and controlled the accurate inventory records for all plant inventories. Provided leadership and direction in investigating and understanding all major manufacturing variances to ensure timely, actionable information to management. Executed and maintained control procedures to ensure the integrity of plant financial records and safeguarding of plant assets in accordance with Law 262 compliance. This includes regular testing and reviews to ensure proper goods receipts, finished goods shipments, production reporting, cash management, account reconciliations, material obsolescence, inventory and fixed asset accounting. Reviewed capital projects for compliance with Corporate Capital Control Policies and for adequate clarity of justification, consistent with the facility’s planned direction for investment of capital resources. Communicated with the internal and external auditors during regular scheduled audits.
