As the company continues to evolve, I now lead 4 Health Care Account Reps covering northern Indiana, northwest Ohio, and mid Michigan. We focus on large, chain account business in the acute and non-acute side of healthcare. We work with regional and corporate dietitians, COO's, CFO's and CEO's to maximize each organizations operational and financial efficiencies.

First, calling on perspective customers and creating a relationship that fostered trust and knowledge of the industry. Customers can view you in 2 ways. 1) Either as a commodity used only to provide pricing and basic services, or 2) as a partner who understands the challenges they face on a daily basis and can provide solutions. After selling to a commodity type customer, you just make sure the basics are in place. Making sure orders are processed and delivered correctly and on time.After selling to a collaborative customer, you better start working on a plan to help them grow. That means being in tune with the industry and providing solutions to problems they may not even know they have or problems that may be coming. For example, government regulations that would have a negative impact on their bottom line. Health care organizations that are asked to do more with less, deal with reinbursement levels that stay at the same rate.
