Engineering Program Manager
-Responsible and accountable for the integrated management of multiple related projects and third party vendors for various FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) programs ensuring success through all phases of a project.-Projects include a range of customer-driven interior reconfigurations, structural and system modifications, and avionics upgrades requiring FAA or foreign regulatory approvals for various stakeholders that ultimately improves the passenger and flight crew experience. -Domestic and International work experience to maintain stakeholder engagement and ensure the project specifications are maintained, met, and implemented in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements. Domestic on-site support includes extended stays in the Kansas City, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta and Jacksonville areas. International on-site support includes locations such as Milan, Rome, Italy, Singapore, El Salvador, Amsterdam, Northern Ireland and Ethiopia.-Proactively monitor and control progress of projects to ensure projects are on schedule and that there is sufficient engineering, management and certification support for team members to support the aircraft modification and final return to service. This includes regular meetings with the team to encourage excellence and the use of best practices.-Continuous focus on building credibility, establishing rapport and maintaining communication with the customer to ensure final acceptance of the deliverables are met and to secure follow-on work. This includes managing expectations for internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.-Responsibilities include execution of the program schedule, communications management, human resource management, cost and procurement management, risk management and change management as related to transport category aircraft.-Presentation of regular program reviews to senior and executive level management to communicate project health and financial profitability.
Liaison Engineer
-Assist with the coordination of aircraft maintenance visits and special visits, including customer directed mods and prototypes, drop-ins, and bridge checks to evaluate and analyze engineering-related problems.-Understand and implement Customer, FAA, and OEM requirements in a proactive and organized manner, with set goals and full consideration of what is necessary to provide complete technical support.-Effectively interpret engineering drawings and approved maintenance documents necessary to develop and implement a structurally acceptable repair.-Investigate reports of damaged parts, assemblies, and systems to determine nature and scope of discrepancies for all areas of the aircraft.-Collaborate on a daily basis with customer representatives, production supervisors, quality control, purchasing, and scheduling to provide Engineering support that allows production to meet their goals and requirements necessary for a successful visit.-Direct interaction and communication with customer-bases to provide efficient and professional Engineering support to satisfy the unique needs of each customer. Customer-bases include United, Delta, UPS, Sun Country, Air Canada, AirTran, Allegiant, AeroMexico, and Southwest Airlines.
