Supported exploration and development teams to provide infrastructure and facilities cost for deepwater and land assets on a worldwide basis, provided front-end screening and development concept definition with regard to host production facilities, subsea systems, flowlines, pipelines and full field development costs and schedule, past project included Mexico Shallow Water Bid Round No. 1 in the Gulf of Mexico, Carcara deepwater prospect in the Campos Basin, Brazil, deepwater gas assets held by Lukoil in the Black Sea.

Development (facilities) Engineer, Mar. 2012 to present, support domestic and international exploration activity to generate development concepts for deepwater projects with regard to field architecture layouts, host production FPSO’s and platforms, topside facilities, subsea hardware, subsea boosting systems, including cost and schedule. Work in concert with exploration teams to develop economic assessment models for areas of deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and Angola including Chevron’s Jack/Buckskin projects in GoM, Itaipu/Wahoo discoveries in Brazil and Maersk’s Chissonga development in Angola.

Development Engineer, Project Development and Procurement Group– Supported worldwide Business Units (BU) with front end scoping (FEL 0-1) of prospect developments for operated and non-operated entities with focus on Gulf of Mexico exploration ventures, provide technical engineering input for new technology in subsea applications and scope overall development options for deepwater prospects such as floating host developments and subsea tie-backs. Projects include scoping field development concepts for BP’s Tiber discovery in GOM, Kashagan / Kalamkas in Caspian Sea, and oil fields in northern Iraq, among others. Provided similar technical oversight for land based developments domestic and international including cost, schedule, risk and economic evaluation support to BU’s to assist their decision to invest in new prospects. Proficient in the use of cost estimating and engineering software including Oil and Gas Manager, Que$tor and Field Plan, PipeSim and Nodal Analysis.

Interface and Risk Coordinator, Walker Ridge GOM Development Team – Jan. 2007 to Mar. 2008 – responsible for interface engineering for multi-discipline engineering team and subcontractors involving interfaces between drilling and completion systems, subsea hardware, flowlines, risers, pumps, FPSO and turret mooring systems for Phase One development in 8,200-foot water depth in Gulf of Mexico, also charged with risk assessment and mitigation coordination on same. Established a database on the internet and drafted a procedure to manage all interfaces between Petrobras and all outside subcontractors and vendors involved on the project, will be responsible to administrate and manage the same.

Project Manager, Integrated Solutions Group – provided Integrated Solutions (IS) US and international projects, provided integrated technical solutions using HES service lines for well construction and production optimization for operating companies including strategic planning, cost studies and feasibility studies, risk and economic assessments, recent projects included: In-house Project Coordinator - ExxonMobil (March 2001 to 2007) for ExxonMobil for drilling/completion team on Kizomba/Xikomba, Angola, West Africa, a 60-well subsea development program in 4,000 ft water, including completion engineering and design for horizontal open-hole gravel pack wells, oversaw completion design, logistical support, scheduling, contracts, QA/QC, and management interface between ExxonMobil and HES, Houston and Luanda, Angola, 50 wells were drilled and completed during this period with a production rate of 600,000 BOPD. (1999-2000) In-house IS Project Manager for Mariner Energy during for three subsea well completions - provided interface between service lines for completion activities including completion design process, sand frac, perforating, tools, well testing, operational and company management interface.

Senior Project Engineer - Performed engineering functions for various project teams including: DeepStar subsea system engineering for 3,000 to 6,000-ft water depths including subsea separation, multiphase pumping, artificial lift, hydrate and produced fluid issues, drafted Executive Summary for all DeepStar work performed by all parties during 1995 calendar year, a summary of 65 separate reports; Texaco - Petronius deepwater project, downhole completion equipment design; Sipetrol - project manager for field development study comparing viability and cost of platform and subsea development in Strait of Magellan, offshore Argentina; Shell - Bullwinkle upgrade for subsea well tie-in and operability issues; Exxon seconded for 12-week assignment to compile executive-level engineering manual on state-of-the-art subsea technology including drilling issues, tree configuration, completion design, subsea pumps, meters, and related equipment. Santa Fe Energy - perform interface engineering for subsea trees, downhole hardware, controls and flowlines for gas wells in 1,700 ft water depth, Gulf of Mexico.

Senior Project Engineer - 1993 to 1995 - Responsible for project engineering on domestic and international projects with regard to artificial lift and downhole completion design, multi-phase flow modeling, reservoir engineering, and interface where applicable on design of process facilities for fixed platforms, subsea and floating production systems on projects such as Enserch GB 388 development; Amoco-Chevron-Texaco (ACT) production platform, Indonesia; traveled to Siberia and performed on-site data collection and reservoir engineering evaluation of oil and gas reserves.

Petroleum Engineering Manager - 1989 to 1993 - Responsible for production, reservoir and facilities engineering duties for major and independent oil companies on international projects including:• Made several trips to the former Soviet Union to perform on-site field assessment and development evaluations, prepared cost studies, workover program and development drilling recommendations, and developed joint venture documentation for Anglo-Suisse, Quintana Petroleum and Mobil Oil. Project Manager in charge of six-member engineering team traveled to Siberia and performed on-site data collection to determine oil and gas reserves, drilling, completions, facilities, pipeline and full field development costs and economics for west Siberian oil fields for Global Natural Resources. Performed a similar study for Amoco Production Co.’s Green Island field in Siberia.• Project Manager for artificial lift study comparing gas lift, ESP, jet and Weir pumps for subsea well installations and associated production problem analysis for Conoco, Inc. Seconded to Ampolex Exploration in Sydney, Australia for a 2-month assignment to perform artificial lift evaluation and cost study for subsea wells, comparing the viability of gas lift, ESP and jet pumps for offshore China field.• Provided conceptual design and coordination of PSA nitrogen generating system and compression for combined ESP and gas lift systems for subsea wells including downhole completion design for Occidental Eastern’s Lufeng field, South China Sea; Seconded to Occidental-Caledonia, Aberdeen, Scotland for 10-week assignment, compiled documentation and monitored testing of recovered subsea tree during refurbishment process for re-use in North Sea.

Operations Engineer - 1981 to 1984 - Responsible for well production and completions of the Whitney Canyon field in Uinta County, Wyoming - a $750 million facility involving 17 sour gas wells, 15,000' depth with chemical injection systems and subsurface safety valves. Designed many technical procedures such as perforating, acid stimulation, flow testing, pressure transient analysis, cement squeeze procedures plus the installation of downhole hardware which involved hundreds of contract personnel at a cost of $8 million. Performed field-wide Nodal Analysis evaluation that resulted in 4.5-inch tubing installations in several wells, one of which increased gas production from 40 to 72 MMSCFD. Performed oil and gas reserve evaluations for annual budget. Authored two comprehensive reports, one dealing with sour gas leaks resulting from deficiencies in the completion program, the second, a field-wide gas lift optimization study for the Ryckman Creek Field.
