About Doug Herbert

I have spent the last decade personally developing, and leading teams developing, embedded systems. As a Linux developer, I have written device drivers which interfaced with frame buffers, cameras, GPS units, touchscreens, many types of flash memory, all manner of communication buses, and most common RF standards used for IoT devices, including WiFi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth. I have experience in signal processing of images and audio, including telephony audio. I have training in Android low level and application level development, and have used the Qt framework for large scale graphical applications. As a project manager and software manager, I have led teams through requirements, budgeting and estimating, implementation, factory support, and long term customer support of complex embedded Linux systems.
