Doug is a widely respected and seasoned real estate executive with more than 15 years of experience in residential and commercial land acquisition and development. As Founder, President and CEO of Trolleybus Urban Development, Doug has paved the way for over 6,000 new residential units across 28 projects. With a focus on communities in Ontario's Greater Golden Horseshoe, Doug and his team at Trolleybus specialize in the land acquisition process, assessing areas that have strong potential for higher and better economic uses, and creating larger sites through assembling fragment parcels that are suitable for redevelopment. These efforts have resulted in the creation of over 4 million square feet of new high-rise and mid-rise developments and 85 acres of low-rise development. A values-driven leader in real estate, Doug is passionate about reinvesting in the communities that Trolleybus works within. Along with the Trolleybus executive team, he is a strong supporter of health and community organizations, including Sinai Health, Baycrest Foundation and helping at risk youth through his sponsorship with ProAction Cops & Kids.Doug is an active member of the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) and Urban Land Institute. He believes in sustainable urban intensification and addressing the missing middle as a path to better accommodating the Toronto region’s rapidly growing population.Prior to founding Trolleybus, Doug was a senior member of the real estate acquisitions team at Intracorp. Before joining the land development industry, Doug worked in risk arbitrage in the capital markets.
