As a young child I always was consumed with building things and also how things worked. Growing up I was always in dads tool box building things from tree houses to furniture as well as repairing lawn mowers and other equipment. In high school I worked for the local rental store and learned much about tools and equipment. Then moving on to working for a building contractor for better pay I quickly fell in love with building structures. After high school I was excepted into the engineering school at University of Mo., Rolla. but missed the deadline for housing and decided to go to school at SEMO. During this time I was still working in the construction trade which had become my passion, and after a couple of years of indecision decided to pursue construction full time. After working for a building contractor for a couple of years I decided to strike out on my own. I started out doing roofs and remodeling then additions, new construction, and custom homes. I took on a partner and we added a automotive repair franchise to our construction co. In the early nineties we split up for personal reasons and I continued the construction business. A few years later I went to back to school to get my Real Estate sales and broker license. I worked for my father as a residential land bird dog as well as partnering with him in the development of a large lot subdivision. I secured several, six figure, land acquisitions that culminated into first closings, then land planning, zoning approval, then sales to subdivision builders, and eventually built out subdivisions. When the housing bubble burst I went back to remodeling and construction. I was offered a position at Lakeview Const and I thought it might be interesting to travel. I enjoyed the challenge of operating in unfamiliar cities but that business slowed down too. Fast forward to 2013, I noticed solar was all the rage and got on with Mo Sun Solar, I poured myself into the business and love it.
