Doug Howenstein is a Managing Director within Accenture Federal Services' Public Safety portfolio, which includes the US Departments of Homeland Security, State, Energy, and Justice, as well as US Courts. Mr. Howenstein helps government agencies become high-performance organizations by implementing mission-critical systems and programs. Since coming to Accenture in 1994, Mr. Howenstein has been focused on supply chain management, case management and program management for large-scale government programs. Doug is a former member of the Steering Committee for the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable. He is Past President of the St. Louis Roundtable of Council of Logistics Management and a past member of both the Information Strategy Executive Committee for the Council of Logistics Management and the Steering Committee for the Consortium for Supply Chain Management Studies.Mr. Howenstein earned both a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, ITIL 4 Foundation certified, and a Professional Engineer Intern (EIT).
