I offer over 42 years of experience in supervising, managing, directing and negotiating large capital programs and projects, largely in the Metro Vancouver area. My experience includes development of capital projects, development and management of large highway and bridge capital and rehabilitation programs, negotiation of complex issues with prospective project partners and funding agencies and the management of large scale, complex projects within urban and rural environments. As Project Manager I have worked for various owners; including the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Transportation Financing Authority, Transportation Investment Corporation, Port Metro Vancouver, TransLink, Metro Vancouver, and various municipalities within the Metro Vancouver area and the Fraser Valley. My knowledge of project management, highway and bridge design, construction, communications, negotiation and understanding of the sensitivities, risks and challenges that confront project delivery agencies will be a value asset to the client.I have managed numerous transportation projects that range from rehabilitation projects to large, complex projects that involve alternate funding sources and involve alternate delivery techniques such as design-build and 3rd party delivery. During my career I have been on the cutting edge of unique delivery mechanisms such as the MOTI's design-build pilot projects and third party delivery projects, such as the Highway 11 Mission Interchange, that was delivered by a retail developer and the Moray Channel Bridge that was delivered by the Vancouver International Airport Authority.I continue to work on high profile, sensitive and complex infrastructure assignments that require a strong sense of discretion, judgement and the ability to communicate to senior management groups and at the political level.
