The Line Manager will maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all safety procedures, equipment, and resources; and by maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. The Line Manager over sees that the production supervisors will accomplish manufacturing goals through staffing by planning, establishing priorities, communicating expectations, and holding workers accountable for job performance. The Line Manager will monitor, document, and report the quality of all the steps of the process including: raw materials introduced to the process, maintenance support, equipment reliability, operator performance, and finished product. The Line Manager will ensure the operation and reliability of the equipment by calling for repairs when needed, writing work notifications, and inspecting work performed on equipment. The production supervisor will use process improvement techniques defined by Six Sigma and the Deming Methodology to constantly work towards reducing variation and minimizing waste in all areas of the production line
