I am the founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of Vital Citizen, an inclusive, collaborative, nonpartisan initiative dedicated to strengthening American democracy by empowering active civility and excellence in citizenship. I am also a mediator. Through my firm, D.W. Kenyon PLLC, I help parties to legal and other disputes resolve their differences efficiently and effectively. And I serve on the Board of Directors of Search for Common Ground, www.sfcg.org, an organization working in over 30 countries to reduce violent conflict and build sustainable peace. Search is a nominee for the 2018 Noble Peace Prize. Most importantly, I am the father of three wonderful daughters and two equally wonderful grandchildren who, like millions of other young adults and children everywhere, are our best hope for a just and prosperous future. Prior to starting VItal Citizen and D.W Kenyon PLLC, I practiced law for 38 years (30 as a partner) at Hunton & Williams LLP. My practice involved a wide range of domestic and international cases and transactional matters in numerous industry sectors and, for example, in the following areas of law: antitrust; computer games; contracts, government contracting, and joint ventures; corporate compliance; advertising, entertainment, publishing, and social media; intellectual property and licensing; and unfair trade practices.I teach and write extensively on legal and policy issues.
