An executive position working in conjunction with the Chief Administrative Officer, it is our goal to be able to measure and improve performance in the areas of resource utilization and quality of care in an effort to reduce the total cost of care. I am currently responsible for implementing and utilizing a productivity system for human resources, and benchmarking systems for human resources, supplies, physician practices, quality or care, and service utilization. Many of these concepts are underutilized in the Kingdom, so much of our effort is dedicated to establishing operational foundations pertaining to: an ICD-10 coding system, a new Charge Description Master including appropriate CPT codes, a more robust time and attendance system with supporting HR policy and procedures, and the reengineering of cost accounting, revenue cycle and budgeting procedures.Our hope is to be established as a leader within the Kingdom relating to performance measurement and improvement, so that efforts can be replicated for other healthcare facilities throughout Saudi Arabia.

Responsible for all labor management activities for Carolinas Healthcare System hospitals in the Charlotte, NC region. Also responsible for Premier's Performance Engineering operations throughout all of Carolinas Healthcare System. During my time with this client, we established labor management programs in 11 facilities including 5 acute care facilities and acheived documented savings of $6.039 million.

Contract based at Spartanburg Regional Health Care System in Spartanburg, SC. In 2007 and 2008, we developed and implemented a new labor management program utilizing Premier's OperationsAdviser. In 2009, focus changed to more process improvement projects with department managers, and to improve Spartanburg's utilization of Premier's ClinicalAdviser reports. In my three years spent with Spartanburg, my documented savings was $10.13 million.

Devloped new Process Improvement program for hospital system. Worked on projects in materials managment, physician registration areas, and patient transport. Also worked on a nine-month project testing new Emergency Department design using MedModel Simulation and identified $1.2 million dollars in design improvements.

Project Manager over various clinical and operational performance improvement initiatives

Direct management over hospital-wide productivity initiatives, FTE allocation and position control. Duties also included management education and training, project management, budget development, and capital budget administration.
