Dalco Controls focused almost entirely on manufacturing control systems for pump systems and water treatment. This included standard building services pumpset controls as well as industrial waste water treatment, mining, irrigation, fixed fire protection and industrial process pumping systems. Our control systems were distributed by pump & irrigation companies around Australia, many being sent offshore as part of a treatment or pump station package. These locations included the Pacific Islands, the Middle East & Kazakhstan. During this time I had the opportunity to deal with Global companies such as Schneider Electric, ABB, Rittal, Siemens and many more. Frequently these suppliers had international representatives visit with their local colleagues, which was always a welcome experience. Modulec Engineering is a switchboard building company that had its origins in electrical contracting, with a focus on air conditioning and controls. This gave me experience in a large range of manufacturing and installation situations. In the time that I was under Modulecs employ the business focus moved to becoming a strong player in the air conditioning controls industry, moving further on into main switchboard & distribution load centres.
