I’m a highly motivated, very hard-working Assistant Driller with over 14 years in the oil patch. I worked 7 years on land rigs in northern Canada, working my way up through the ranks and 7 years working as a assistant driller off-shore working in different parts of the world. Ghana, Ivory Coast, Angola, Congo, Cyprus, Asia giving me the ability to communicate and work well with different nationalities. I have a high level of discipline, I am always wanting to learn more, and be as knowledgeable as I can.I consider myself to be an honest individual who can work with minimal supervision. I have excellent communication, organization and supervisory skills enabling me to work well within a team. I have worked on tender rigs, a semi-submersible, and a 6th generation Drill ship. I have worked on dual and single activity and platform environments. Over the past 7 year’s I have gained experience working with cyber-base drilling systems including AKMH, & NOV. I worked in Singapore on a new build and was involved in the DST’s and SIT’s it has given me the opportunity to commission, run and problem solve all aspects of NOV cyber systems including MMC (Multi Machine Control) I have had a chance to get a great overview and better insight into many of the systems that operate the drill floor behind the scenes which will only benefit me down the line.My primary goal in each and every task I participate in is the safety and wellbeing of my co-workers and myself. I always follow company policies and procedures during all tasks. Actively contributing to the observation card program, pre tour meetings and safety meetings I follow the guidelines and standards set by the company, personal safety is number 1.
