In my role as a college level digital art instructor I develop syllabi, lesson plans, and interactive projects for for large studio classes. I create and deliver didactic lectures, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations to foster technical skills, creative exploration, and career development. Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH) is a primary pediatric hospital in Columbus, Ohio and is a leader in pediatric medical research.My role at NCH is to serve as the primary Data Analyst for the department of Emergency Services. I am involved in all areas of clinical and quality improvement research. My primary duties include:- Extract data from internal and external databases using a variety of data processing and querying tools - Provide guidance regarding the hospital’s data resources and assist with developing research projects, including collaborating with various hospital departments as well as other pediatric hospitals- Manage and manipulate data sets, create data figures, tables, and reports- Assist with development and submission of manuscripts and grants- Maintain strict confidentiality of data and hospital information and maintain data accuracy and integrity of databases

EMC Research helps clients assess public opinion on a wide range of issues in education, transportation, healthcare, tourism, labor markets, consumer markets, and politics. Clients include publicly funded agencies; school districts; candidates in local, state, and national elections; governments; nonprofits; and private companies.As an Analyst, I was involved in all aspects of the research process. I worked with and managed teams to ensure that projects are performed accurately, on time, within budget, and ultimately provide meaningful results for clients. Our project teams developed approaches and methodologies that provide statistically valid results with respect to timeline and budgets. We conducted surveys in a variety formats including telephone, web, paper, focus groups, address based sampling (ABS), intercept surveys, and one on one interviews. We designed samples for surveys to be representative of the universe that is being focused on, such as a likely voter universe, or a sample representative of employees in a work center.Analysts at EMC Research require extensive experience using statistical software like SPSS to manage datasets and perform statistical analysis including frequencies, cross tabulations, means, and correlations. As an Analyst, I also have experience using GIS mapping software, R, and Excel as tools for data analysis.A large focus of the research process at EMC is working closely with clients to provide meaningful analysis of data results that will help inform their decisions in the future. We conduct in-depth analysis of datasets and share findings with clients usually in the form of PowerPoint presentations that use a variety of data presentation formats.
