Consumers Cooperative Refineries Limited, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada – Refinery Revamps Project $1.3 B. Site Construction Manager, 30 month assignment, on the $1.3B multiple operating units revamps project with peak manpower of 2050. Led a multi–disciplined team onsite in a construction management role that includes HSE, field engineering, project controls, field supervision, materials management, logistics, quality and commissioning/completions with a peak CMT staff of 75. Led constructability reviews onsite and in the home office. Developed the contracting strategy and completed final evaluation and negotiation of the key contracts. Planned and prepared all for major shutdown. Additional duties included client reporting, cost control and cost reporting for onsite expenditures.

AT Plastics, Edmonton, Alberta – Facility Rebuild (Revamps Construction $20.0M. Construction Manager responsible for developing the project Construction Execution Plan specifically focusing on working in a live plant. Developed the sub–contracting strategy, construction budget, staffed site management team and developed site infrastructure. Led constructability reviews with the engineering teams. Liaised with the Client’s Project Management Team and Plant Operations Personnel.

The total value of the Petro-Canada Refinery Conversion Project was $4.2B, the site execution was spread over 5 years with all the activity integrated into a fully operational facility. Site Construction Manager responsible for the 55 member site Construction Management Team. This included the key disciplines, Safety, Quality, Construction Superintendents, Refinery Operations and supporting personnel. Key areas of responsibility included overall site total loss management, quality, schedule and cost forecasting / performance. Interfaced with the project EPCs on the site safety trends, incident management, labour productivity, schedule, performance, quality, sub–contractor management, workface planning and cost performance. Duties included quantity takeoffs of IFC drawings, planning and scheduling of activities, progress measurement and cost control and reporting. Provided field engineering services, cost and manpower forecasting, document control and sub–contractor management. Prepared Client invoices and reports. Included key successes on time weekly and monthly client reporting. Provided accurate field progress measurements, plant process system based progress and turnover of process systems including EWO tracking and reporting. Provided leadership and support to project safety initiatives for the Operations and Demolitions teams.
