Doug Moormann is a seasoned economic development and government relations professional with more than twenty-five years of experience in linking people with government to creatively solve problems. He joined with Chip Gerhardt in 2011 to form Development Strategies Group (DSG), an economic development consulting firm located in Cincinnati. DSG identifies, assesses and negotiates for incentives to encourage business expansion projects. Before joining Development Strategies Group, Doug served as the Vice President, Economic Development for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. He also held the position of Vice President, Government Affairs for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Prior to joining the Chamber, Moormann held a number of positions in state government including serving as the Executive Assistant for Business and Industry to Governor Bob Taft, and Chief of Staff to Lieutenant Governor Maureen O’Connor.Doug has served on a number of board and commissions including: The Ohio Transportation Review and Advisory Council; Board of Directors of the European American Chamber of Commerce; City of Madeira Planning Commission, the Greater Cincinnati Workforce Network, the Tri-ED Board of Directors, Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Advisory Committee, the Southwest Ohio Regional Workforce Investment Board and the St. Francis DeSales Festival Committee. He is also a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati, Class XXX.He began his career on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to then-Congressman Mike DeWine after graduating from the University of Dayton with a degree in political science. Doug, his wife Kimberly, and their children reside in Madeira.
