Managed and supervised over 250 employees involved in subcontracting work in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Sheet Metal across more than 200 subdivisions, spanning from Santa Rosa, Chico, and Healdsburg in the north to Livermore and Antioch in the east, and south through San Jose, Fresno, and Bakersfield. Key responsibilities included preparing bids, hiring and discharging employees, and overseeing all aspects of subcontracting operations.Process Innovation: Traveled to Arizona to study a cutting-edge technique for pre-fabricating complete HVAC systems in the shop, then transporting them to construction sites. This approach enhanced airflow control, minimized air loss, and adhered to PGE tight duct and California Energy standards. Successfully implemented the system at Air Design, becoming one of the first companies to deliver higher-quality systems at reduced costs.Employee Training: Conducted weekly training classes in HVAC and General Sheet Metal to develop a steady pipeline of skilled apprentices. Created lesson plans and facilitated discussions on sheet metal techniques, soldering, air conditioning installation, and HVAC system design and installation.Cost-Effective Workforce Solutions: Designed and implemented an employee bidding system that improved morale while lowering labor costs. The system allowed crews to bid on jobs based on total labor costs, with approved bids ensuring workers were paid accordingly.I am passionate about the HVAC industry and deeply value the relationships I’ve built with colleagues and partners.
