An attorney for 30 years, I focus my practice on Insurance coverage and litigation matters. I am a founding partner of Wilson Elser’s Dallas office, a member of the Chairman's Office and Executive Committee and a founder of the Insurance-Reinsurance Coverage Practice Group.I frequently represent insurance companies as counsel of record in coverage and bad faith litigation and as coverage/monitoring counsel. My insurance experience has focused on third-party coverage, including executive protection and professional liability products such as E&O, D&O, BPL, EPL and fiduciary policies. I advise insurers on policy interpretation, claims handling and resolution, case valuation and settlement, and bad faith avoidance. I have experiance in the drafting of policies and endorsements.Insurers frequently call on me to represent them concerning coverage issues and for mediation/resolution of, high-exposure, public company class actions and shareholder derivative cases. I creatively approach settlement obstacles and obtain successful results in difficult cases. I have a long and respected relationship with the mediators who specialize in these cases across the country and has handled hundreds of complex, multi-party mediations.I have tried a variety of cases to verdict in State and Federal Court and that courtroom experiance has been invaluable to me in advising insurers concerning settlement value and exposure for them and their insureds.
