About Doug Roberts

I have significant experience in the Autonomous Machine Engineering, IT Engineering Application Development, and IT infrastructure areas.I've gained both technical knowledge and leadership and management skills and my positions have increased in responsibility. Most recently, I’ve been involved with managing teams dealing with autonomous/robotic systems and am proud of the great progress made by my teams, especially in the area of the fully autonomous large mining truck that is now in successful operational at several customer sites. Prior to that, I expanded my IT knowledge when I led Network and infrastructure teams to make system improvements and establish a strong foundation for newer technologies to accelerate enterprise efforts (IP Telephony, security, etc.). A good portion of my IT knowledge was also gained as I developed engineering applications to help standardize and accelerate engineering development I have significant experience managing and leading large teams and working with large budgets that go across organizational boundaries. I’ve managed groups in some of the most technical areas (Autonomy development, Metro-Area Networking). I am well versed in the MS Suite of tools and have knowledge of Engineering and application development processes (including Agile).
