Doug has been Managing Director of Square Peg since 2003 and specialises in helping organisations and their leaders through transitions.He is recognised for a dynamic and practical consulting approach that has evolved during a career that has included a decade at Watson Wyatt (global partner), executive leadership, theatre production, and military service. He has been honoured by the Canadian Government for his leadership work and been recognised by the Independent Newspaper as one of the top 10 management consultants in the UK. Square Peg has been acknowledged as the top small consulting firm in the UK by the Institute of Business Consulting and has been awarded the Silver Constantinus International Consulting Award by the Institute of Certified Management Consultants from amongst 50 countries. Doug is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants, a Fellow of the Strategic Planning Society and has been Chairman of Kingston University’s Faculty of Business and Law’s Board of Advisors for the past 5 years. He is a sought after speaker, an Olympic special advisor to Scotland Yard, and a regular contributor to magazines and periodicals. Together with his multi-national teams, he supports global brands such as British Airways, Coca-Cola, and Birds Eye in their change initiatives. He is Chairman of Square Peg Venture Capital that manages a portfolio of small business interests including a number of theatre/dance productions, an ice rink, an industrial lift business, and a seniors support service. Doug is an avid Polo player and has been recognised as Sussex player of the year. He is a student of theology and an ordained Priest in the Church of England. He divides his time between Toronto where he has one daughter (Kate) at university and his home in Surrey in England where he lives with his wife (Diana Ross), eldest daughter (Liz), three dogs, highland cows, and horses.
