Key Achievements Achieved High Distinctions for Professional Development (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) standards 6-7) and ECU Professional Requirements via the final evaluation report. Achieved a Distinction for Teaching Skills (AITSL standards 1-5) via the final evaluation report.  Developed and implemented an 8-week Science program on Electrical Energy, receiving positive feedback from students and the year 6 collaborative teaching group.  Developed and implemented a new 7-week Technologies Program for the year 6 cohort centred on students planning and creating a ‘How to’ VLOG using iMovie on the iPad. This program will be implemented going forward at Carramar.  My mentor teacher identified the following key strengths: assessment, ability to take on and action feedback, holding high standards and professionalism.

Year 1 Key Responsibilities Observe and assist class teacher across all learning activities including 4 station Math rotations and robotics.  To work with low-achieving students in small groups (and one on one) for addition/subtraction tasks, spelling, reading and comprehension learning areas providing guidance and real-time feedback. Key Achievements Attained a positive trajectory of achievement with low-achieving students with respect to:o Decoding and recognition of sight words. o Comprehension through retaining key information from books read the previous week.Year 4Key Responsibilities Assist class teacher in learning activities and discuss opportunities to improve student engagement.  To work with students in small groups for reciprocal reading and fluency sessions providing guidance and real-time feedback.  Observe and assist with a series of physical education and health lesson sessions. Key Achievements Collaborated with class teacher to optimise the reciprocal reading session through determining the best allocation of resources.  Collaborated with class teacher to trial and determine the optimal group allocation for a range of tasks.

This involved the use of cooperative learning strategies and the development of a rubric.  Successfully integrated a technological led focus to lessons through the use of the interactive whiteboard, multimodal online resources and innovative practices through the use of tablets to improve engagement of students across the learning areas.  My mentor teacher identified effective classroom management strategies for controlling behaviour in a class with a range of personalities as a key strength.
