Working for HEB, Foley's, and Schwan's Home Delivery has given me 20+ year in customer service experience, handling cash, checks and credit, and working with the public. Working as a correction officer has given me experience in managing people, verbal and non verbal communication, safety, accountability, and completing daily and situational paperwork correctly and by the end of the shift. The most effective training I've received is Hostage Negotiations. This training allows me to understand other people and effectively communicate my intentions and expectations in a way that the people I am speaking with understands me in an every day setting. Other training I've received consists of: safety, chemical agents, firearms safety, first aide, CPR, emergency communications, incident command system (ICS), gender specifics, diversity, and sexual harassment. Furthermore, I volunteer at my church as games director on Wednesday nights and Children's church Leader on Sunday mornings, and as a councilor at a local food pantry. This give me experience in leadership, time management, and public speaking.
