Doug is Fulcrum’s founder and CEO. A RISD graduate with degrees in Fine Arts and Industrial Design, Doug has taught at RISD for 15+ years. He has worked with an extensive list of international corporate clients that include: Reebok, Tiffany, BASF, and Philips. His work has received awards from the Industrial Design Society of America, Krups Corporation, The American Steel and Wire Institute, and RISD’s Thomas Alva Edison award. Doug advises and mentors numerous start-ups and is active in many organizations that improve the lives of people, the planet, and biodiversity.He began his career building solar homes, kitchens, kiosks, stores, and interiors 30+ years ago. Since then, he has diversified his expertise into design, engineering, machining, and manufacturing. He holds 6 patents in mechanical devices, new technologies, and manufacturing techniques.
