With over 20 years of development and technology experience, my biggest motivation has been the desire to solve problems with software and technology. I enjoy every aspect of the process. Whether it be the first exploration of the issue, brainstorming possible solutions and outcomes. The part of working with a team that designs, architects and builds the solution. The heads down coding that so many developers enjoy. The implementation and seeing the solution live. I especially enjoy supporting the solution. I find I learn the most by helping people who have problems with the solution and being able to see things from their perspective.As I have grown in my career, I have been able to put on many different hats and been a part of many different industries. I believe this has given me a unique perspective on how to manage, build and support software and technology, as well as how to work with the people that make it happen.Technology isn't always about the latest and greatest, although being on the cutting edge can be a lot of fun. To me it is about finding what works best for the situation at hand. You have to explore the problem from all perspectives and to understand the impact it has on everyone.You must always continue to push yourself out of your comfort zone and learn new technologies and you must never be afraid to fail. My biggest failures have been some of the best times of my career. Understanding how to learn from that and make things better is how we grow and move forward.
