Worked on a Global project to build a triangular Virtual Data Center Presence that was to support Aircraft data/voice comms geo-syncroniusly. This project leverage the use of SatComms, Aircraft positioned WiFi equipped routers, Geographically positioned MMP's (Meet Me Points) for the BGP hand-off to the Honeywell Aero DCs that served as MSP's (Managed Service Provider) stand-ups. This SAT/WAN/LAN infrastructure over an MPLS cloud was the ground-work that had paved the way for Aircraft to be able to offer on-board WiFi as we know it today. -

This was my first role that helped me learn the "Business" side of being a network person; things like Change Management, TRG's, Process/Planning, etc. All those items that are what are known to be part of an ITIL "Enterprise" solution, not just a job where making a change only required waiting for everyone to go home after 5pm to "do what you want".as long as it's up by morning.
