Provide academic skills instruction to students with disabilities and responsible for developing and implementing individual learning sessions for students.• Promote students' effective use of academic strategies by modeling and teaching a variety of study strategies• Assist students in identifying barriers to academic success and work with students to proactively help them improve academic and study skills • Work with students, Assistive Technologists, and SAS Access Advisors to set goals and develop action plans for academic success• Monitor student progress towards achieving individual goals and adjust teaching strategies as required to promote student success• Assist with implementing a reporting mechanism to evaluate the effectiveness of the academic strategist program and individual interventions for students • Be proactive in staying current with educational and assistive technologies to promote academic success• Ensure appropriate and accurate records of sessions and decisions are kept for each student
