Utilized PHP and HTML 4.01 Transitional to develop and maintain site as well as CSS to generate a more consistent user experience across the pages. Additional responsibilities included email management, ICAAN verification and page validation through W3C.org. Site url: www.soberfest.org/Selected Contributions:  Researched and developed on-line registration page for the event sponsored by the non-profit organization, saving approximately $1,000 for postage required to mail registration information in the first year alone. Reconstructed 12 pages of the site from “scratch” incorporating design elements and Internet standards for security (SSL and XHTML), reduced or eliminated much of the deprecated in-line styling which was permitted by earlier flavors of HTML and replaced the styling with CSS. Maintained security software. Worked closely with graphics design and reproduction teams as well as outside vendors. Introduced a Content Management System (CMS Made Simple) which is making the back end maintenance much easier as well as improving the end user experience. Acted as liaison between the organization and website host.

Lakes Area Advertiser Network• Web Developer/Adminstrator, (February 2012 to September 2012) Develop, monitor and update commercial website for Lakes Area Advertiser Network utilizing Bondware CMS. Additional responsibilities include light graphic design utilizing Adobe Creative Suite as well as PBX system maintenance and help desk for 25 employees. Website is now defunct due to business entering Chapter 7 bankruptcy.Selected Contributions:• Designed and implemented method to deploy the ad paper online. This required designing/developing user interface as well as server side manipulation of over 300 pages of ads. Researched and implemented cloud storage of data files at a savings of more than $300 per month in bandwidth overage charges.• Integrated and implemented W3C standards for website appearance during re-design of the site in cooperation with the web host.• Created banner ad art for the website using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as Microsoft photo editing software.• Worked with graphic arts department to assist with design and creation of artwork for site. This allowed the art department to focus on creating the files to print the paper rather than having to create and deploy artwork for the website.
