Assistant Chief Flight Instructor Assist the Chief Flight Instructor, and act as Chief Flight Instructor in lieu of his absence, in managing Part 141 aviation training programs for Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument, Multi-Engine) specializing in transitioning military pilots to general aviation and career changes.Safety Director Direct and maintain and active aviation safety program that supports the FAA syllabus and incorporates FAA Wings – Pilots Proficiency Program. The Safety Program will also address ground and maintenance safety issues.

The FAA Flying Club, Washington, DC, was organized in 1962 “...as a nonprofit corporation in order to stimulate and encourage interest in aviation, to advance the knowledge of its members in aviation and aviation related subjects, to sustain and improve the proficiency of its members in flying, to provide the opportunity for its members to fly aircraft economically and conveniently...”The original membership was geared toward government employees and their families. The current focus is on the general aviation community in an effort to promote aviation safety and wider participation. The aircraft is based at Manassas Regional Airport (KHEF) at Dulles Aviation on the west side of the field in Manassas, VA.

As a member of the Advisory Board (AB) and an alumni of the Mathematics Department, board members provides advice, support and outreach opportunities to advance the Mathematics Department's long-term goals. The AB also serves as a liaison between the Mathematics Department, alumni, and the community at large.

Provide leadership and guidance to staff and manage a staff of approximately three hundred people directly or indirectly including subcontractors.

Provided day-to-day leadership to mirror Corporate mission and core values, saving the corporation hundreds of thousands of dollars in operating expenses while leading a high-performance team of up to 30 people.

Directed combat-ready carrier aviation operations for worldwide deployment consisting of 7 squadrons, 60 strike fighters and support aircraft, and 1.7K+ personnel. Managed operating budget of more than $1.5B with controlled assets exceeding $2.5B. Instituted several innovative leadership and training initiatives to guarantee equipment-readiness and teamwork.▀ 1st Marine Colonel ever designated as Deputy Commander and Commander of Navy Carrier Air Wing.

Responsible to the Vice Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director of the Joint Staff and Director of the J-8 for warfare studies, analyses and wargames at their discretion. Spearheaded 20-person Division in Force Structure, Resources and Assessment Directorate. Conducted defense analysis and joint studies to assess military capabilities of Elaborate Crossbow I/II/III/IV, a series of war games designed to offer global force management for force rotations. Results were briefed to the President of the United States and Secretary of Defense.

Led 20-person division as well as the Joint Warfighting Capabilities Assessment team in the Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Directorate. Orchestrated policy with staff of Service, Combatant Command, and Secretary of Defense. Assessed future military requirements within the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS). Conducted defense analysis and joint studies, assessed military capabilities, authored future joint and interagency force application concepts, and validated future military requirements for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
