As Co-Founder/Co-Owner of Wrk Lab Inc., Doug brings 15+ years of experience in business development and management in the commercial furniture industry. Doug was born and raised in Houston, TX and attended college in Austin, TX where he received his BA in Business Management from St Edwards’ University. Prior to Wrk Lab, Doug worked as a Dealer Business Manager for Steelcase (which at the time, Steelcase was the largest commercial furniture manufacturer the world). Then he switched to the dealership side of the business and was the GM for two locations, Tampa, and Orlando, for the world’s largest commercial furniture dealer. Doug’s well-rounded industry experience on both aspects, the manufacturer, and the dealer side, bring unrivaled and vital expertise to Wrk Lab. As COO at Wrk Lab, Doug manages multiple departments and always leads with a team approach & a customer service mindset. He ensures Wrk Lab’s financial longevity and has instilled operational excellence and inventive processes to ensure customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. Doug believes a good leader is one who leads by example and is always available for his teammates or Wrk Lab's clients. Doug has also successfully created Wrk Lab’s own in-house Commercial Services & Project Management division which provides clients with office relocations, decommissions, asset management, delivery & installation services, etc. This division diversified Wrk Lab’s portfolio and Doug continues to spearhead additional initiatives. Being from TX and traveling across the country while working in this industry, Doug has a stellar reputation and built a variety of relationships in various locations. This expands Wrk Lab’s client range which boosts Wrk Lab’s business.
