CIO with IT responsibility for Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.Developed and successfully delivered the 4 year Healthscope IT Strategy to shift IT from a ‘utility’ to a ‘business enabler’.Established an enabling organisation structure, developed existing employees and recruited new talent to build a high performing organisation.Resolved a significant number of outstanding IT Audit issues with the first 6 months through establishing the Healthscope IT Strategy, Healthscope Information Security Policy, Healthscope Solution Delivery Framework and implementation of standard operational policies. Provided thought leadership and program delivery structure to drive the execution of a transformational Financial Automation Program. This involved the implementation of standardised Financials and Supply (7 legacy systems) across 4 business units and 4 countries on time and under budget. This solution also included innovative order to cash automation that delivered a 50% reduction in AP staff and improved services.Delivered a national replacement of Hospital systems (41 in total, 7 different providers, 30 different configurations) with a new core system and a standard enterprise business process model for streamline operations, which enabled cost reduction and increased business agility.Other key aspects of the transformation were; Data Warehouse implementation that reduced working capital by $30m, Data Centre consolidation, Network consolidation and core Infrastructure Refresh.Through vendor negotiations, and tender structures I successfully reduced the IT vendor spend for printing and devices by 30% and telecommunications by 40%.The Healthscope IT transformation was written up as a case study by The Department of Information Systems at Melbourne University and submitted to the SIMS 2012 Paper Awards Competition. It is also used by MIT Centre for Information Systems Research.

I represented Healthscope's interest in eClinic and in my capacity as Director drive an increased financial focus which resulted in the company purchase by Healthscope.
