As a team/track lead of 4 developers, my team is primarily responsible for the architecture and development of the new Alerts tool, development of the Level 2 tool, and the re-engineering of the streaming News tool. Additional activities involved the debugging of and the heavy lifting of various aspects of the trading application. This includes working directly with Microsoft employees involved in their .Net Maui development effort. Working with a small team of remote and onsite staff, I was contracted to help expedite a backlog for the maintenance, enhancement, and performance improvement of existing multi-threaded WPF/C# desktop applications. I ported one WPF app from .Net Framework to .Net 8 (Core). In addition, I assisted with the maintenance and enhancement of an existing Xamarin mobile application. New POC mobile development was done using .NET Maui. I ported the Xamarin app to .NET Maui.For the various desktop and web/mobile apps, all communication with the SQL database was done via Entity Framework that was invoked by several async REST APIs. The mobile apps also used SQLite for local caching and offline transactions pending an online resync. All authentications used Active Directory. The REST APIs had several functionality-specific repository services that communicated directly with EF, various functionality-specific service classes related to CRUD operations using a corresponding repository service, and the APIs themself that made specific HTTP requests to a particular service to interact with target data. Architecturally the APIs were designed (segregated by classes and functionality) to be an easy migration to a microservice architecture that was on the longer roadmap. Show less

As a spaghetti code base, efforts were focused on a complete architectural overhaul along with significant re-engineering of the code base to meet coding standards, employ proper coding principles, support unit testability, resolve bugs, add features and localization, develop custom controls and styling, and implement the revised architecture requirements… all while keeping the original application alive The FHIR (REST/Json) APIs were a new feature added to meet government certification requirements for EHR applications.
