CurrentProviding operational and logistical support to one of the busiest networks in the country, running trains between London, Kent and East Sussex. Everday we operate 1,700 trains, carrying more than 400,000 passengers, serving 180 stations, across 540 miles of track, 399 trains, and 4,500 employees. Working in partnership with The British Transport Police and Network Rail, reporting to The Department for Transport, with the shared commitment to reducing crime and antisocial behaviour across the network and providing our passengers, staff and local communities with a safe environment to travel, work, shop, and live in. We utilise industry leading initiatives, alongside specialist techniques, aiming to continuously improve safety and security by managing risk and maintaining a proactive, intelligence-led and operationally focused approach; ultimately creating a hostile environment for those intent on committing crime on the railway and/or using the network to facilitate committing crime within the wider communities we serve.
