About Douglas Call, Phd, Pmp

Douglas W. Call, Ph.D., PMP, has over four decades of executive leadership and project management experience in the pharmaceutical and aviation life support fields. He holds profession certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Aerospace Physiology (CasP).For the past eight years he led Call & Warwick Project Partners, LLC, providing project management teaching and consulting services to Pharmaceutical companies and CROs globally. He has also served as a faculty member for the Drug Information Association & as an adjunct professor at several universities. Doug was a US Navy Medical Service Corp Officer for 24 years. Last assignment - Captain/ Commanding Officer of a Navy biomedical research facility. For the past two decades, he has worked in the pharmaceutical industry as Global Project Manager on Phase II-IV Clinical Trials; led a Global Project Management Support Office and was Head of a Global Learning and Development in the world’s largest CRO. The author of numerous publications, Doug has presented over 80 scientific and technical papers on project management, drug development, aviation physiology, biomedical, and human factors engineering topics at national and international scientific symposia. He has led workshops on project management and clinical research topics at numerous pharmaceutical professional conferences & currently serves as faculty member for the Drug Information Association (DIA).Doug is a member of the Project Management Institute; International Project Management Association; Drug Information Association and is a Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association. The recipient of numerous professional, academic, military and civic awards, he has also served as an editor of a scientific journal and as an officer in several professional organizations, including President of the North Carolina Chapter of PMI. He currently serves as volunteer builder and Member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity, Orange County, North Carolina.
