It runs remote in-school mentoring programs for middle and high school students focusing on math and science education.As Tech Coordinator, Doug coordinated the timely and thorough completion of technology projects for the organization across multiple contributors and stakeholders. This involved managing the work of many contractors, communicating across departments with team members from individual contributors to executive management to the Board of Directors. It included working with school districts, volunteer mentors, and staff on tech issues, managing many on-line tech tools (e.g. Adobe Connect, Salesforce, Survey Monkey, Wordpress), managing external tech consultants, and creating and maintaining documentation

We Teach Science recruits and train scientists, engineers, finance & marketing professionals to mentor public school students through the internet using RTM, Remote Tutoring and Mentoring. RTM pairs corporate talent with students who need math and science mentoring. Doug led a project to find a new collaboration platform. This includes working with multiple stakeholders, defining software requirements, evaluating candidate platforms, and managing a pilot study involving over 100 participants. As a result, We Teach Science plans to migrate to a new platform during the 2015-2016 school year.

Serving on several committees including Facilities Revitalization and Expansion committee (planning a facilities expansion and related capital campaign), Member Experience (reviewing the impact of Y programs), and Golf Tournament (planning one of the branches major fundraising events).
