Responsible for business development activities for MBDA Incorporated, the US missile company owned by MBDA, a global missile systems company. Additionally, led all government relations activities, interaction with government officials and headed corporate external and internal communications. Successfully led all Navy Brimstone Missile Capture activities on Capitol HIll and in the Pentagon, resulting in over $24M of funds for the program to date. Successfully led the defense of the MEADS missile program on Capitol Hill, saving over $400M in funding for the program for MBDA Germany and Italy. A member of the US Board of Directors and reported directly to the CEO.

Served as a military legislative assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff in the Pentagon. Worked primarily with the four Congressional Defense Committees on defense matters. Selected to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Navy before retirement.

Special Assistant and Speechwriter for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and traveled extensively (including Iraq and Afghanistan) with the Chairman. Prepared for and observed senior level meetings and observe policy formulation at the highest levels. Was the principle author of the Chairman's annual Posture Statement on all defense matters, and wrote congressional testimony, hundreds of speeches, letters and articles.

As the executive and then commanding officer of a fighter squadron, led over 230 personnel during a challenging combat deployment to Iraq. Was singularly responsible for over $650 million in squadron assets and the efficient execution of a $1.7 million annual operating budget. Successfully planned and led the squadron's cross country re-location and transition to the F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft and was ultimately ranked the number one of eight commanding officers in the Air Wing. Earned one of the highest combat decorations, the Distinguished Flying Cross with Combat "V" for valor for leading the first non-stealth aircraft strike element into Baghdad during the opening phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Was selected as the military fellow in John McCain's office during the year he first ran for the Presidency. Worked on legislative issues, to include co-authoring the "TRICARE for Life" military health care legislation that became law, and in raising the pay for junior enlisted personnel to help them get off of food stamps.

Served as the head of the staff at the Fighter Wing that had financial, administrative and maintenance oversight over twelve U.S. Navy fighter squadrons at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach.

Served as an "action officer" and executive assistant to a general officer in the J3 Operations Directorate on the Joint Staff in the Pentagon during the war in Kosovo. Our group was in charge of information operations, to include computer network defense, classified systems and psychological operations. As an action officer, I had financial oversight over a classified program with a $36 million annual budget.

I served in numerous squadrons in increasing levels of responsibility, from flight student to flight instructor, to Maintenance Officer and Operations officer of Navy Fighter Squadrons. I also was selected to serve as a TOPGUN instructor at NAS Miramar from 1993-1995.I was an F-14 "backseater" a Naval Flight Officer referred to as a Radar Intercept officer, or RIO. I led people in a multitude of challenging and dynamic managerial positions and scenarios.I served in conflicts in Iraq, Somalia, Libya and in peacetime operations around the world. I was assigned to the following squadrons in order: VT-10 (student NFO 84-85), VT-86 (Student 85), VF-101 (Student 85-86), VF-14 (86-89) and two deployments of the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV-67). VF-124 (89-92), VF-213 (92-93 deployed to Iraq and Somalia on the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN CVN-72), TOPGUN (93-95) and VF-213 (95-97 deployed to Iraq on the USS KITTY HAWK CV-63).
