Accomplishments- Initiated addition of math placement levels in Banner in order to improve advising of transfer and non-traditional students- Led creation and implementation of new departmental placement exams- Initiated adoption of Pearson MyLabsPlus to support online placement testing with no additional resource commitment- solicited and received funding to pay department tutors- Initiated gateway (mastery) testing in College Algebra, leading toward a Math Emporium-style delivery system for that course, including establishing processes for graduate student proctoring and record keeping.- Initiated annual department retreats to engage stakeholders in strategic planning.- Oversaw improvements to departmental and general education assessment processes, in particular, the generation of semiannual reports to seed committee discussions- Led the effort to increase expertise in Data Science among current faculty, as a way to move the department agenda forward during a hiring freeze- Led the development of the Data Science minor
