Hi, I am Doug Fletcher. I’m the author of How to Win Client Business and co-author of How Clients Buy. My goal is to share with you what I have learned from my research and experiences over the past 25 years to help you achieve greater business development success. If you work in professional services, you have certainly realized that skill in generating business is - or will soon become - an important determinant of your success. Whether you’re searching for a speaker for your next event or an insightful book to take your practice to the next level—I’d love to help.From 1999 to 2014, I was co-founder and CEO of North Star Consulting Group - a technology-enabled consulting firm that specializes in global web-survey projects. I also served on the board of directors of The Beacon Group, a growth strategy consulting firm headquartered in Portland, Maine from 2009-2022; Beacon was acquired by Accenture in 2022. Early in my career, I was a management consultant at A.T. Kearney and trained at General Electric in its leadership development program. I earned an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University.In addition to my writing and speaking, I also teach business at Western New Mexico University. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the MMP, and made some great lifelong friends.
