Underwriting Associate
CurrentHandling a portfolio of commercial lines new business, renewals and endorsement activity as well as working on special projectsMajor Responsibilities- Gathering and analyzing account information and making underwriting recommendations- Risk selection, coverage negotiation and pricing adequacy on renewal business- Servicing endorsement activity- Developing and maintaining broker/client relations - Contributing to account rate/renewal strategy- Collaborating with team members to achieve customer satisfaction, profit and goals- Handling individual risk inquiries from brokers and making appropriate decisions- Inputting to @vantage system and preparation of quotes for renewals- Issuance of Commercial Lines Policies in the @vantage system- Underwriting file set-up and maintenance- Monitoring booking and rate accuracy-Multi-product underwriting such as: automobile fleet, property, general liability, and umbrella
